A couple of shots from this summer.

I was just going through some old pictures for an upcoming bridal show and I came across these. This wedding was in San Diego and it was a blast. The couple was so much fun to work with and the lighting and locations were beautiful all day long. Living in Utah, I don't get to take beach shots too often, so I know that I probably covered every cliche in the book. But hey, they look good. The shot in the bleachers is one of my favorite all time shots. The bride is a cross-country runner at Weber State University and wanted a little bit of school spirit in some of her shots. I'm glad she did, they turned out great.

Some Family Photos

I just finished processing some pictures of a family that I took this last weekend and I can't wait to give them the prints. As corny as it sounds, I love to see the look on people's faces when they see the portraits that they've been waiting for. That alone is almost enough payment for taking the photos, but the money definitely doesn't hurt. These pictures were taken at the Flying J corporate office on 42nd and Harrison. Sounds to me like a strange place to take pictures, but hey, they turned out great!

First Post
Wow! my first blog post. Here I am thrust into the hip new world of internet coolness, hopefully no one realizes that I don't really have any idea what I'm doing. Of course, there's always the very strong possibility that no one will ever read this. If you are reading this, however, I apologize for doubting you and thanks for coming! I am excited to have this blog as a place to share my thoughts and the progression of my photographic style. I hope you find my work enjoyable. Let me know what you think at nic@silverstreetphoto.com or visit my website at www.silverstreetphoto.com.
For my first post, I can think of nothing more fitting and beautiful than my new little princess. She turned one month old a couple of days ago. Man how time flies. Lucky for her, the camera is always watching!
