Mirabel 18 Months

I took a survey (ok, it was a small survey of just my wife and me) and it turns out that Mirabel is the cutest kid to ever walk the face of the earth. I really fear that sometimes we become a little jaded to her beauty (both inside and out) being around her so much, so I've been taking time the last couple of weeks to consciously and deliberately think about how blessed we truly are. Here she is, as photogenic and willing as ever:

The Brown Family

So, I just noticed that I haven't posted anything in two weeks. Oops! I need a blog that whines like my dog at the door whenever I forget to feed him. Anyway, the Brown family was nice enough to let me follow them around with my camera for a little while. Two of them are headed off to Japan for a couple of years, so everyone had to get dressed up for pictures before they said "Sayonara."

Can I just brag for a second and say that this first picture is one of my favorite family portraits ever?

The Secret to Good Photography

I know that these things can't be good for you, but what can I say? They're delicious! Thanks to everyone who came to see me at the "Bridal Bliss" fair. It was a great time and thanks to my RockStar and the awesome attitudes of so many people who are so in love, I survived (and had a blast. Also, special thanks to the folks at Hardison Peek Photography and Celebration Point Reception Center for putting up with me all day (the poor suckers got stuck in the booth right next to me).

Here I am with high hopes at the beginning of the day.

And here I am thinking that I should probably have brought another RockStar (you know that you're a talented photographer when you can take pictures of yourself in your sleep!

I know I'm a dork, but I think Bridal Fairs are a blast. And this one is guaranteed to be absolute bliss for all brides (sorry grooms, you're just there to carry the bag of price lists, fliers, and pamphlets)! See you there!

Peepee in the potty!

I posted this over one my daughter's blog (mirablogs.blogspot.com) but I thought it was too good to not post here as well. Mirabel is currently potty training herself (I thought this was supposed to be hard) and peed in her little potty for the first time last night. The only problem is that I think Amber may have traumatized her for life and she may never go near the potty again. Watch the video and you'll understand.

But seriously, thanks to everyone who came and visited our booth at the bridal fair in Ogden. It was great fun!

Sledding

We took Mirabel sledding for the first time this past weekend. It was a hoot. She was so upset when we had to leave. Kids make a lot of things in life more fun; sledding is one of those things.

Pricing Adjustment

After constant poking, prodding, and suggesting (all very much appreciated, of course) I've made some minor changes to my wedding pricing. If you've been looking at the old pricing, I'll still honor it, but the new pricing helps simplify things a bit and adds a couple of prints to every wedding! Let me know what you think.
